A friend sent me this video that I remember from my youth. It was of the wonderful comedian Red Skelton, who was known as a fabulously funny man who never told a dirty joke (at least not that I know of). This short video starts out with his usual humor and then goes into his views of America and its blessed state by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance with purpose and feeling.

May we never take for granted our wonderful country! May we ever remember that God set it up as a free country and America has a Manifest Destiny to set the example to other nations the benefits of a free society. That Freedom is the only way a people can prosper and grow and create the Peace we all seek.
